About Us Services Management Team Technology Media STAR-DEN Joint Venture Corporate Responsibility		MANAGEMENT TEAM Mr. Sameer Manchanda, Chairman & Managing Director He founded DEN in 2007 with a vision to bring about a paradigm shift in India's cable TV distribution industry through consolidation and digitalization. Within a few years from its formation, DEN has become the leader in India's cable TV distribution industry. He was also instrumental in the formation of Star DEN, a 50-50 J-V between DEN and the Star TV group. In 2005 he co-founded IBN18, home of CNN IBN and other channels and services, and headed the company as its Joint Managing Director from 2005-2010. Prior to that, he served as a Director on the board of NDTV. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has been associated with the Indian television Industry since 1984 and has considerable and varied experience and expertise in distribution; media sector operations, strategic and financial planning, capital structuring, mergers and acquisitions, collaborations and joint ventures. He is currently a member of the CII National Committee on Media & Entertainment and the FICCI Broadcast Forum. Mr. S.N. Sharma, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) He joined DEN in July 2007 and has over 23 years of experience in the Media Industry. He has previously worked as President, Northern Region of Hathway Cable and Datacom Private Limited and Vice President, Indusind Media and Communications. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communications and Masters degree in Business Administration from Kurukshetra University. Mr. Mohammad Ghulam Azhar, Chief Operating Officer (COO) He has over 15 years of vast experience in strategic and financial planning, fund raising, capital structuring, mergers and acquisitions. His experience in media sector operations has been instrumental in establishing DEN as one of the leading cable service providers in the country. He holds a Masters degree in Finance and Control. Mr. Rajesh Kaushall, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) He has over 13 years of experience in best international practices and domain expertise in financial systems and processes, project controllership, treasury and tax compliance. He has previously worked with Price Waterhouse and has held senior management positions at Lucent Technologies Hindustan Limited (a subsidiary of Lucent Technologies, a NYSE listed corporation). Prior to joining DEN in September 2007, he was the financial controller at Tekelec Systems India Private Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tekelec, a NASDAQ listed corporation). He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Costs and Works Accountant. Mr. Navroz Behramfram, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) He has over 25 years of experience in the fields of television and internet services. Prior to joining DEN in December 2007, he was heading the technical division - Consumer Electronic Products of Tata Sky prior to which he worked as Vice President - Technology with Hathway Cable and Datacom Private Limited. He is responsible for designing and implementing the technology architecture of all cable services. He holds a Bachelors degree in Physics from Wilson College, Mumbai, a Bachelors degree in Electronics & Computer Technology from Watumul College, Mumbai and a Masters in Marketing Management from NMIMS, Mumbai. Mr. Hemant Narang Mr. Hemant Narang is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has over 15 years of rich experience as a practicing Chartered Accountant. He has expertise in providing consultancy and advisory services in financial planning, business valuations, taxation (direct & indirect), audits and accounting matters. He has been associated with NDTV, the TV18 group, ICICI Ventures, Baidyanath Group and COIM India among others. He has played a pivotal role in formation and conceptualization of DEN and its various subsidiaries and has been instrumental in obtaining various compliances and approvals for the company. He has also been supervising various Taxation (Direct & Indirect) and Corporate Law matters of the company.
